The size is perfect for a 50 inch shotgun. Well done with that aspect. However, I wish the straps were beefier and go up towards the handle rather than opposite of the handle. Additionally, it would be nice if there was a pocket on the outside of the case for your shotgun choke barrels. That would make this fine leather piece of art, a perfect shotgun leather case.

Last Fall, I found myself wanting a shotgun case/sleeve and after surfing around a bit I found the Mission Mercantile site and saw this particular case. I liked it right away and placed an order. Delivery took quite a while (several months) but the case was actually delivered a week ahead of the promised arrival despite being so far out. Slow delivery aside, I found this to be an exceptionally nice case, made of first rate leather and lining materials. It was even nicer than I anticipated and I'm very pleased with it. It's very well made and I'll be anxious to start using it and showing it off next hunting season.
