Don’t give China your money for important, personal items that should last a lifetime, and should improve with age. This is both a dopp kit, and a travel toiletry kit. You want sturdy, with great quality zippers, and leather where it counts, for reinforcement. This kit is roomy, functional, and nicely lined. The look is masculine. All props on the design. I wanted a separate zippered pocket, and this one is on the outside. That makes sense to me.
I looked at the cheapies and there are a lot, even on Etsy. Don’t do it. Invest where it counts, and you’ll never regret it.
Minus 1 star for non-US made. Switch over to the US, guys.

Nearly exactly what I've been looking for!

I've been looking for a "zip-top" shave/dop kit for a long time. My hope was to find one all in leather that wouldn't break the bank. I've had one for years that has two zippers across the top and is slightly more rectangular. One of those zippers busted. The single zipper around the side is sturdy, solid and much heavier duty than my old one and don't expect it to break, ever! I would have preferred the zipper to be slightly nearer the top edge, but this will still work well. Having the zipper around the edge allows you to fully open the kit (and it can stay open), when you are digging around looking for something. It is much more accessible. And, although I had planned to get a leather bag, I really love the look, feel, and anticipated durability of the waxed cotton. It looks really sharp and appears to be of a quality not normally found at this price point. Plus, the sale price made it too hard to pass up. I got the green, with brown leather trim and love it There was another color I really liked, but it was sold out when the sale was on. Truly expect to enjoy this kit for years to come and expect to be able to pass it on to one of my boys. I think it's that good!
