The Theodore Collection Backpack is a wonderful addition to the Theodore Collection. It holds a wonderful patina, feel, and leather smell. I use if for both personal and work related activities. This pack is beautiful and amazing quality. Its also very heavy. The only criticism is it needs more holes in the backpack straps so the length of the straps could be made alot smaller. But I love this bag, its exceptional quality and postage from America to New Zealand only took 5 days. The communication via email was excellent as well.

Recently was in Mexico for vacation. Saw a leather backpack at a shop there. Would've purchased but did not have cash at that moment. I’m a leather goods addict. I LOVE all kinds of leather bags. My wife thinks I’m obsessed. I have messenger bags, camera bags, duffles, slings, pilot bags, and more. From Coach, Time Resistance, Filson, Korchmar, Bosca, Buffalo Jackson, Col Littleton, and more. Then I came across Mission Mercantile when searching for a new bpack. I have a new love. Sarah was superb when helping with my Theodore bag purchase. The leatherwork on the pebble hide was top notch. The full grain hide was thick and robust, especially the triple layered corners seemed bulletproof:-) The hardware is durable and elegant. The stitching was impeccable. The straps were padded and the added touches with the finger bridge closures and slip pockets above the front pouches were brilliantly functional. I can’t wait to get the messager bag to match. This is my new go to!
One of those products that you can see and feel the quality when you first touch it. This is not like any other leather backpack. It doesn't look like any other backpack. Rare to see a full grain leather tanned (traditional?) Mission style product, only other credible brand I can think of is Cuadra where this same piece will probably cost at least 5 times more. Expect an extended period to season the leather to softness. And the heavy weight will not change with the seasoning either. That's one downside. I would recommend this to leather bag collectors or the fashion conscious.
