Campaign Leather Ranger Belt

$75.00

Description

Inspired by the men that tamed the Texas frontier, our Ranger Belt was made to be as rugged yet sophisticated as they were. We'd love to say we invented the Ranger Belt, but it's been around longer than most any of us.

The design was implemented from a cinching technique used in horse tack that allows a strap to be tightened without pinching the horse's hair in the buckle. The Texas Rangers adapted this technique into the design of a belt in the 1840s, when they began using the new Colt Walker six-shooter, a substantially sized firearm which demanded larger holsters and thus wider cuts of leather than standard belts. By mimicking the cinching technique from horse tack in the design of the ranger belt, the Rangers could wear a smaller, more functional belt and still holster the larger sidearm. Consequently, this style of two-layered leather belt is named after the Texas Rangers.

This is a high-quality, vegetable-tanned belt that you can’t buy in a department store and backed by a lifetime guarantee.

We size our belts based on pants size. For example, our Ranger Belt - Medium fits from a 33" to 37" pants size. The middle hole (there are 5 holes) would be about a 35" pants size.

Sizing:

  • Small: 29" - 34" pants size
  • Medium: 33" - 37" pants size
  • Large: 37" - 41" pants size
  • X-large: 41" - 45" pants size

VERY SATIFIED!

I purchased a Medium size ranger belt. I have a 35" waist and wear a 32" pant size. A Small size ranger belt would be too small for me.
This belt is very good quality leather. Made in Mexico.

Ranger Belt orientation

If you have never owned a Ranger Belt, it’s time to own one. At first, I thought the inner belt loop was too small. But after working it a little, and wearing it a little, I found the belt easily slips in and grabs, making it a cinch to adjust just right before bucking down. I’m wearing mine with jeans or when carrying my White Wing canvas bags which I purchased at the same time.

Campaign Leather Ranger Belt

It was a bit tight for a 42 and the additional leather strap that goes inside was difficult for me to secure. I added some weight and will keep trying it a few more times. Leather needs to be used as it gets better with use. Smelled like a brand new baseball glove.

High quality belt

The belt is a 1/4 inch wider than other ranger belts making it ideal as a work belt for many professions. Materials and construction are high quality

Very nice product and experience

This is a terrific belt, balancing genteel, masculine, and detail qualities with aplomb. It's exclusive enough that I don't see the style regularly. Build quality is excellent, and with sewn and riveted fastenings, it should be robust. The finish is almost too luxurious -- it's just a nice piece. Given that it is recommended to accompany game pouches, I expected it to be more "gunbelt" in weight than it is, but it will easily be sufficient for carrying a compact semiautomatic. I'm going to enjoy this belt.

Love the leather belt

I bought the belt to go with my hunting bag set. Just what I wanted, and the belt is super quality and can wear it for hunting or business casual!! Thank you!
