I’m kind of a purse freak - I keep looking for the perfect one to fit my stuff, but also force me to cut down. This one fit the bill. I wanted it to go over my shoulder and under my arm - without having to hoist my shoulder up to keep it from sliding. It does not slide. The included pouch is great for helping to organize stuff rather than having it float around in the abyss. I think my search has ended - this is the most expensive purse I’ve ever bought and I plan to use it forever more (I’m 76) so it might not be as long as someone else !

I have nothing but praise for this tote. It is beautiful inside and outside, with such attention to detail. The highest craftsmanship is on display here. One of the reviews I read said it's a bit heavy, but I haven't found it so. I have an old waxed canvas tote bag by another maker, which is much heavier.
This is a classic that will last a life time.

I purchased the Tradesman bag for use as carry-all for some outdoor sporting activities; fly fishing, clays shooting and target shooting with a handgun or rifle. It is a great side to hold fly reels, flies, assorted accessories for fly fishing, and, it is the prefect size to hold boxes of shotgun shells, shooting vest, glasses and ear protection. It also holds magazines, ammunition cases and gear. Great design, great quality. Highly recommend. I had mine customized with my initials. Makes a great gift too.

Material and workmanship are excellent! I ordered the bag before a trip and found the design very functional without any unneccesary frills. I am very impressed, how smooth the zipper slides and how soft the shoulder pads are. The only thing, that i would had liked to see additionally are the leather strips, that are sewn vertically on the bag and support the handles, to be running around under the bottom of the bag in order to support the floor. But considering the function of the bag otherwise it is most likely not neccesary. Mission mercantile for sure knows better than clueless me. Time will tell. Looking forward to use this gem!

I’d been in search of a leather backpack for some time. I wanted something that I could carry every day, both at work and in casual scenarios. If carrying for work, I wanted something that could hold my 16” MBP and still have room for files and other accessories. At my level in the organization, carrying a backpack is a bit out of the norm, thus the backpack needed to be of adequate size and presentation. For casual use, I wanted a bag that could be versatile enough to carry a plethora of items without destroying them during heavy carry use.

I have been extremely impressed with this backpack. The quality of the leather is beyond reproach and will age even better. The stitching is strong and robust yet subtle in its appearance. The slim pockets behind the front pouches are an excellent design, housing everything from a cell phone and wallet, to anything you need to access quickly. This has become my go-to carry bag in just every scenario.

Well worth the investment and I highly recommend it, especially for those with discerning taste for quality leather.

I’m now considering the Theodore Briefcase for more formal work settings, to align with traditional office protocol while still retaining the beauty and benefit of an all leather carry solution .

I have been carrying this bag for months, and it remains my favorite of all time. The leather is soft, but sturdy, and I love the little zippered pouch for my sundries. I travel every week for work, and this has been my go-to bag for carrying my computer, books, etc...yet small enough for running errands on the weekend. Oh, and it still looks brand new. THE perfect tote.

I searched and searched for a good alternative to the game vest I was using. I had back surgery and the vest just was not suiting me. I am also a bit of a minimalist and I search for gear that fits a multitude of needs. I hunt upland game and I am hunting from a canoe. For upland game this is a no brainer. Very comfortable and rides well on the hips. The pouch with the zipper lends enough room to tote a small water flask and some snacks as well as a few other odds and ends.

When I’m the canoe I use that same pouch as a stand-alone. I am able to slide it to my lap where it rides out of the way. I can keep extra shells and spent shells as well as my binoculars with quick access. When I get out of the boat I just have to grab my gun. The pouch is already with me and has what I need. I added two snaps to the game pouch and it snaps in under my forward thwart to keep my harvest off the bottom of the boat.

The quality It outstanding and I am sure this will last a lifetime. Perfect weight, construction and materials. The liner inside is nice and can easily be cleaned. The game bag itself holds about 6 grey squirrel or 3 wood ducks for me.

I do wish the pouch the the zipper had an additional interferir sleeve, but that is just a personal preference.
